Wedgewire Collector / Distributors

Collector / Distributor systems are important components of ion exchange units, media
filters, sand filters, carbon strip vessels, carbon towers, clay filters, and in many water and
wastewater treatment applications.

Hub lateral systems (shown above) may have multiple tiers of wedgewire screen laterals.
Header lateral systems are available for larger diameter filters. Wedgewire screen laterals
make excellent collectors. A perforated pipe distributor can be added to improve back-
wash distribution and increase strength.

Economical wedgewire screen nozzles can be used as collectors in false bottom (tube
sheet) vessel installations.
